We are delighted to announce that Elevation Wealth Management has been acquired by UK wealth management group Cador Wealth, marking an exciting new chapter for our business, our clients and our team.

Founded by Tony Smith in 2011, we have grown to advise approximately 3,000 clients, overseeing around £800 million in assets under advice. With offices in Birmingham, London and Wolverhampton, we have built a strong reputation for providing trusted financial advice and supporting our clients in achieving their long-term financial goals.

Following the acquisition, we will continue to operate as the client-facing advice brand within the Cador Wealth group, with our clients continuing to be supported by the advisers they know and trust.

Building on our strong foundations

Joining Cador Wealth gives us an exciting opportunity to build on the foundations we have established over the past 15 years, while benefiting from the investment, resources and technology to support our continued growth.

The acquisition provides the cornerstone for Cador Wealth’s five-year strategy to build one of the UK’s leading independent wealth management businesses, with a target of more than £8 billion in assets under advice. This ambition will be supported by further acquisitions, organic growth and adviser recruitment.

As part of the group, we will benefit from continued investment in technology, people and our client proposition, helping us develop the business while maintaining our focus on delivering high-quality financial advice.

Our clients remain at the heart of everything we do

Our relationships with our clients have always been central to our business, and that will remain the case as we move into this next chapter.

Our clients will continue to be supported by the advisers they know and trust, with our focus firmly on understanding their individual circumstances, helping them navigate important financial decisions and supporting their long-term objectives.

Cador Wealth has developed a technology-led operating model designed to simplify processes, improve efficiency and give advisers more time to focus on their clients. We are excited about the opportunities this creates to enhance the service we provide.

The group also aims to use the benefits of scale to improve the overall client proposition, including opportunities to deliver greater value through platform and investment solutions.

Looking to the future

Cador Wealth describes its approach as Consolidator 2.0, reflecting its belief that successful growth is about more than bringing businesses together. It is about investing in the technology, people and infrastructure that enable those businesses to thrive.

For us, joining Cador Wealth creates opportunities to grow our business, strengthen our proposition and continue building a business that serves our clients well for years to come.

We also look forward to the opportunities this will create to attract talented and ambitious advisers who share our commitment to providing excellent financial advice and building lasting client relationships.

We are incredibly proud of what we have built at Elevation Wealth Management and excited about what comes next. We look forward to building on our strong foundations as part of Cador Wealth, while continuing to deliver the personal service, trusted relationships and quality of advice our clients expect from us.

Steve Lloyd, Founder & Director of Cador, said:

“Elevation gives us exactly the cornerstone we wanted from which to build Cador.

Tony and the team have built an outstanding advice business over more than 15 years, with exceptional advisers, a strong culture and deeply trusted client relationships. These are things we want to preserve and build upon, not change. We believe consolidation has been positive for UK wealth management and it’s here to stay. Our view is simply that the next phase needs to create value differently.

For us, our Consolidator 2.0 strategy is about combining acquisition with investment in the underlying business. That means using technology to improve how advice is delivered, using scale to improve the overall client proposition and creating an environment in which great advisers can thrive.

Ultimately, our aim is pretty simple: to deliver market-leading service and great value for clients, while building a business where advisers can spend more of their time doing what they do best, advising and looking after those clients. We are at the beginning of that journey and we’ll now prove the value of our approach through execution at Elevation.”

Tony Smith, the group’s Chief Commercial Officer, said:

“Having founded Elevation in 2011, choosing the right long-term partner was incredibly important to me.

What attracted me to Cador wasn’t simply the opportunity to continue growing the business, but the shared ambition to build on what we’ve already achieved and invest significantly in the next stage of Elevation’s development.

Our clients will continue to deal with the advisers they know through the Elevation Wealth Management brand. What changes is the level of investment we can make in our people, technology and client proposition.

For our advisers, it creates an opportunity to be part of an ambitious growing business with the infrastructure and investment behind them to spend more of their time doing what they do best.”
